APA Citations
There is no APA 7th edition for citations.
Also, when searching to add a new citation style, the boxes cannot be expanded so I cannot read the full title of some of the citation styles.
In Google docs, when inserting a citation, there's no comma after the author's name (there should be). It does insert a comma on Word, but the Word plugin does not use et al. properly.
7 votesHi Jay,
Thanks for the feedback. We already working on including the APA 7th edition in plugin so you will get it soon..
We also working on Add new citation style window new UI. It will show the box length as per the citation style title.
Both update are in development and soon be available for users. Thanks & Regards

Wrong Citation in Wizdomlibrary
Wrong Citation in WIzdomWell, i used the Wizdom.ai button to import some articles into my wizdom library. They got imported, but instead of my medical articles, I received something about beavers, ophtalmology... thats strange and stops me from working with wizdom.ai, as i cannot be sure of a reliable tool. Btw the dev of wizdom.ai seems quite inactive... Are there other opinions?
1 voteHi,
We apologies for the inconvenience. On Priority, I’ve escalated this issue right away to the concerned team. For us to look further into this issue could you please tell us from where you import the articles into your library? If you import it from website please share the name of that website as well.
Your patience, cooperation and understanding is highly appreciated in this matter.

Doesn't work well
Doesn't work well
I try to upload references with the Chrome add-on: doesn't work well. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
I try using the desktop app search tool: doesn't work well. It doesn't add the references even if it says it has done it.
I try manually uploading new references in the desktop app: it doesn't work well. It doesn't sync with the web.

It's driving me crazy....

Uploading folders in specific folders on the app
Thanking for coming up with this open source reference management software. I have used Mendely and EndNote, but I am switching to this one. I have realized that I can not import folders in the specific folder in the app. Once I import the articles goes to all publications, so if I am working with different projects it becomes difficult. Also I can't import a folder containing sub folders at once, I have to import the subfolders separately. Otherwise I like the app. Thanks.

ColWiz should write Scrivener integration extensions.
The Scrivener writing environment is one probably the best writing software on the market. However, it has no internal bibliographic and citing support. The reference and research packages "Papers", "Zotero", and "End Note" have all written extensions and automated workflows that allow more humane workflows integrating Scrivener and bibliographic reference and citing. Would be stupendous should ColWiz do the same but better!
Thanks, Randall Lee Reetz

Improve metadata collection from imported citations
Even if I imprt the publicatoin from pubmed the metadata like volume, pages, year don't get automatically improted. This need to be fixed urgently otherwise it will cost us so much time to do it again.

Folder Flexibility
It would be nice if it would be possible to move the folders of the Library and to achieve more flexibility. So new projects (folder) may be also listed above and not as the lowest folder

Google docs plugin "insert citation" improvements
Currently the search function of the insert citation only works on titles. It would be a vast improvement if it allowed searching for author etc.

Enhancing PDF saving
When saving a PDF on a drive, automatic naming based on cilation data will be great e.g. FirstNamedatetitle.pdf
Saving all the PDF from a folder at the same time will also be great - We may need to make a backup or to share a folder content.

Folder management
Hello! I'm new to colwiz but it is instantly loveable, easy and great to use. Yet, I have two short suggestions for the android app:
- Could you allow the app to delete articles, create folders and move them between them?
- Could you add support for the smart folders in the app?
Thanks I lot, I appreciate your work and help

More powerful search function accross the entire app
I think BOTH the web-based app and desktop app need more powerful search across the entire article database; article keywords, abstracts, publication notes, text within the PDFs, internal PDF notes/highlights, etc. The internal PDF search is good for a single PDF, but this functionality needs to work in search for all available articles and content. As a writer/researcher I'm tying together ideas/notes from hundreds of articles and these need to be instantly searchable alongside the article content.
Google Drive is the only app that can satisfy this search requirement. If colwiz could take that functionality, or integrate with google drive,…
40 votesHello,
Firstly, thank you for your valuable comments, such feedback is integral to continuous improvement of our software. Our search function is undergoing substantial modification at present. Currently we are focusing on expediting database searches to minimise delays when users search and add new references to their colwiz Library. This process is nearing completion, at which point we aim to incorporate more of the search functionality you describe, into both our Desktop and Web applications.
Regarding your side note, we agree that several companies fail to the hit mark by trying to address too many concerns through one application. However, we believe our core objective, which aims to accelerate research by providing reference management, collaboration and productivity features in an all-in-one workspace environment, will help save researchers time by not having to switch between applications. We recognise that some of our core features still require refinement, and are working hard…

Correcting details of an article
Some of the citation data may not be correct or incomplete. You have provided an option to edit the fields of each citation entry manual. Considering the tools already available in Colwiz, that is not an efficient solution. I am suggesting for you to make this correction of citation details automatic by using online searching of Google scholar or any other database where such information available.
22 votesHi Shemsedin,
Many thanks for your suggestion. We have a variety of exciting updates that are due for release in the coming weeks – please standby! Currently, using an article’s doi to source correct citation information through the 30+ databases in colwiz is a quick and easy method to update entries that display incorrect info.
Warm regards,

Import Profile info from LinkedIn upon linking accounts
When you link up your account to LinkedIn, it should suggest importing the data from the profile to populate the profile of new colwiz users.

Accessed when
When adding new references. In the bibliography, the "accessed" date in the citation is wrong. It doesn't show the correct date.
It would be nice, if it showed todays date.5 votesThank you for your comment. We are currently looking into ensuring that the date does not change no matter which browser or platform you are using. If the problem reoccurs we will be happy to support you again. Thank you for your patience in the meantime whilst we are looking to resolve this.

Add a folder for publications which info couldn't be extracted automatically
When Colwiz cannot extract the info from a PDF file or "has a doubt" about the extracted info, the publication should be put in a "Needs review" folder.

Improvments on PDF Reader
The PDF Reader needs some improvments:
- Please make it faster and more fluid (both when openning documents and when scrolling through pages)
- Make the highlighting tool more intuitive by allowing the user to select text and then highlight (the Apple iBook's way is really convenient in this regard) instead of drawing a rectangle!
- Also please make the highlighting feature compatible to other apps, so if I import a pdf document with some highlighted text, done in say adobe reader, the colwiz reader should be able to recognise that and allow me to edit/remove it like the native highlighting feature.

iPad annotations in PDF
I would suggest that instead of you developing the perfect pdf reader for e.g. iPad - simply let the Colwiz use any pdf reader as a 3rd party plugin. Important is though that one can annotate and sync afterwards.
